Chercharge Inc. (“Chercharge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us.
This Privacy Policy explains how Chercharge collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the Chercharge customer application, CherDriver driver/concierge application, our websites, and other services provided by Chercharge (collectively, the “Services”).
Chercharge provides electric vehicle (“EV”) concierge charging services that may involve picking up a customer’s vehicle, transporting it to a charging location, charging the vehicle, and returning it to the designated location.
By using our Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on whether you use Chercharge as a customer, driver/concierge, applicant, or website visitor.
A. Account and Contact Information
When you create an account, communicate with us, or use our Services, we may collect information such as:

- Account username or identifier
- Profile information
- Communication preferences
- Customer support communications
- Information you voluntarily provide to Chercharge
B. Vehicle Information
To provide EV concierge charging services, we may collect information about your vehicle, including:

When supported and authorized by the customer, Chercharge may connect with a vehicle manufacturer’s systems or APIs to perform authorized functions necessary to provide the requested service.
We only intend to access vehicle information and controls necessary to perform services authorized by the customer.
C. Location Information
Because Chercharge provides vehicle pickup, transportation, charging, and return services, location information is an essential part of the Services.
Depending on your permissions and use of the Services, we may collect:
- Vehicle pickup location
- Vehicle return location
- Charging station location
- Driver or concierge location
- Trip progress
- Approximate or precise device location
- Garage, parking lot, parking space, gate, or building information
- Location information associated with a booking
Location information may be used to coordinate pickups and returns, match customers with drivers, provide trip updates, verify completion of services, improve safety, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes.
D. Garage and Vehicle Access Information
Customers may provide information necessary for a Chercharge concierge to locate or access a vehicle. This may include:
- Garage name
- Parking instructions
- Parking level
- Parking space number
- Gate or entry instructions
- Building access instructions
- Vehicle access authorization
- Other pickup or return instructions
Customers should avoid providing unnecessary sensitive information when entering access instructions.
E. Booking and Service Information
When you request or complete a Chercharge service, we may collect:
- Booking date and time
- Requested pickup location
- Charging destination
- Service status
- Driver assignment
- Pickup and return timestamps
- Charging session information
- Service price
- Fees

F. Vehicle Inspection Information

Background checks and motor vehicle record checks may be performed by third-party screening providers. Chercharge may receive screening results or eligibility information from those providers as permitted by applicable law.
H. Payment Information
Payments for Chercharge services may be processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe. Payment-related information may include:
- Transaction amount
- Payment status
- Billing information
- Payment method information

- Transaction identifiers
Chercharge generally does not need to store complete credit or debit card numbers when payments are processed through a third-party payment processor.
I. Driver Payout Information
For drivers or concierges receiving compensation through the platform, Chercharge or its payment providers may collect information necessary to process payouts, including:

Customers may receive information about their assigned driver and the status of their booking.

We may share information with companies that help operate Chercharge, including providers of:
- Payment processing
- Driver payouts
- Background screening
- Motor vehicle record checks
- Cloud hosting
- Database services
- Authentication
- Mapping and location services
- Vehicle integrations
- Push notifications

Vehicle Manufacturers and Connected-Vehicle Providers
When a customer authorizes a connected-vehicle integration, information may be exchanged with the applicable vehicle manufacturer or technology provider to provide authorized vehicle functionality.

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

Chercharge relies on third-party technology providers to operate portions of the Services. For example, payment processing and payouts may be provided through Stripe. Connected-vehicle functionality may also be provided through applicable vehicle manufacturers or their technology platforms when authorized by the customer.
Your use of third-party services may also be subject to those providers’ terms and privacy policies. Chercharge is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party websites, applications, or services.
5. Background Checks and Driver Screening
Chercharge may require driver applicants to complete identity verification, background screening, driving record screening, or other eligibility checks. Screenings may be conducted by third-party consumer reporting or screening companies.
Chercharge will handle background screening information in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, including applicable consumer reporting requirements. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval to provide services through Chercharge.
6. Location Data
Location information is important to the operation of Chercharge. We may use location information to:
- Identify vehicle pickup and return locations
- Help drivers locate customer vehicles
- Match drivers with bookings
- Navigate to charging stations
- Verify arrival and completion
- Provide service status information
- Improve safety
- Detect suspicious activity
- Investigate disputes
Depending on your device and permissions, location information may be collected while you are actively using the application and, where specifically disclosed and permitted, while certain service-related functionality is operating.
You can control device-level location permissions through your mobile device settings. Disabling location permissions may prevent certain Chercharge features from functioning correctly.
7. Photos, Videos, and Vehicle Inspections
Chercharge may require photographs, videos, or other documentation of a vehicle before and after a service. These records help establish the vehicle’s condition and may be used for:

- Fraud prevention
- Insurance claims
- Customer complaints
- Driver disputes
- Legal proceedings
Users should avoid intentionally capturing unrelated individuals, private documents, or other unnecessary sensitive information when completing vehicle inspections.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing Services, maintaining transaction records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, meeting insurance requirements, and complying with legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information. Certain records associated with payments, vehicle inspections, accidents, driver screening, compliance, or legal matters may need to be retained after an account is closed.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable law and our data-retention practices.
9. Data Security
Chercharge uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no internet-based service, electronic transmission, database, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for protecting their passwords, devices, and account credentials and should immediately notify Chercharge if they believe their account has been compromised.
10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These may include the right to:

- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of certain information

Users may request deletion of their Chercharge account and associated personal information. Certain information may remain in our records where required or permitted by law, including information related to completed transactions, payment records, safety incidents, insurance claims, fraud investigations, driver compliance, or legal disputes.
12. Children’s Privacy
Chercharge is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 for the purpose of providing Chercharge vehicle concierge services.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information.
13. Marketing Communications
Where permitted, Chercharge may send users information about promotions, new services, or company updates. Users may unsubscribe from promotional email communications using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in those communications.
Transactional or safety-related messages may still be sent when necessary to operate an account or provide requested services.
14. Cookies and Website Technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain functionality, understand website usage, remember preferences, improve performance, and protect the Services.
Browser settings may allow you to limit or block certain cookies. Some website functionality may not operate correctly if cookies are disabled.

Some browsers provide “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is not a universally accepted standard for responding to these signals, our Services may not respond to all Do Not Track signals.

Chercharge will not unlawfully discriminate against users for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Chercharge is currently designed primarily for users in the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where Chercharge’s service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our Services, technology, business practices, third-party integrations, or applicable laws.
When material changes are made, we may provide notice through the Chercharge application, website, email, or another appropriate method.
The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy identifies when the policy was most recently revised. Continued use of Chercharge following an updated Privacy Policy constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.
